Across Europe and the United States, entire countries and states are legally banning cages for laying hens. Yet NFACC still allows farmers to use "enriched" cages. This will ultimately hurt farmers who are investing in an already outdated form of production. By endorsing such cruel practices, NFACC and egg industry partners are going against the latest in animal welfare science and public sentiment. I urge you to use your power as an associate of NFACC to do the right thing for laying hens in Canada.
