Speak Up to Protect Animals, Communities, and the Environment from Mega Factory Farms

Mega factory farms are a disaster for family farmers, animals, the environment, and communities. The Farm System Reform Act can help change that.

Large factory farms, which sometimes raise many thousands to even millions of animals each year, often suffering in crowded warehouses, are putting family farmers out of business and fouling our air and water with dangerous pollution. Many of the farmers who own these facilities suffer too but are often trapped in the system after being forced into debt by the corporations they work for.

The Farm System Reform Act (FSRA, S. 271 and H.R. 797) would prohibit new mega factory farms and would require existing ones to be phased out by 2040. It would also provide debt relief to the farmers who own the farms and prohibit corporate practices that have left many of these farmers with overwhelming debt and an inability to leave this cruel system.
