Right now, the New York State Legislature is considering a bill, S7421A/A8043A, which would preemptively prohibit commercial octopus farming in New York, making the state a leader in the nation along with California and Washington.

Octopuses are sentient beings, deserving of lives free from human exploitation. Prohibiting octopus farming in New York is a crucial action towards safeguarding these remarkable animals.

Please contact your state legislators today and urge them to co-sponsor this important bill!
